Happy Birthday Macey!

Yesterday was my niece Macey's second birthday. I will never forget the first time I saw her... all 4 pounds of her snuggled up in the hospital nursery with a tiny pink bow on her head. Isn't it amazing how quickly you fall in love with new members of your family? Not to mention how quickly they grow????

A Work of Heart

I am once again teaching kindergarten this year. I am blessed to have a very sweet class and even more blessed to be working with this team. And although this may make sense only to them..... Monday it will be a new month. May it be uneventful and calm!

He's Back!

Jeremy has arrived home safely from his annual trip to Mesquite, Nevada. Unless you golf you have probably never heard of the place but basically it is a little town near Las Vegas. There are a few casinos, one WalMart, and not much else. Well, not much else unless you count a bunch of beautiful golf courses. Since I am not a huge fan of any of the above (WalMart included) I stayed home on mom duty and Jeremy enjoyed a couple of days away. After working so hard this past year even I have to admit he deserved it!

I have a very loud child....

Oh my, oh my. Today was haircut day. Any of you who have had a child before know that there is a window in a child's life where they simply do not like to get their haircut. For us grown ups, it is such a luxurious and relaxing way to spend a day. For a toddler, not so much. And for the parent of that toddler REALLY not so much! Derek screamed so loudly I truly can't believe the windows of the hair salon did not shatter. Fortunately, he survived (as did my eardrums) and both boys look adorable with their new do's.

* Yes- they are wearing pants. It is 71 degrees out today and in So. Cal that equals long pants! And yes, Derek is threatening me with a shoe. Isn't he a doll today! :)

The Beginning

After another one of my friends started a family blog I decided it was time for me to join the ranks. Here it is: The Collins family blog.
