Date Night

That's right! A night out with no little people. And boy was it nice! We went out with our friends Shannon and Derek to The Yard House. We had such a good time. The food was good and not once did any of us have to get up to take someone potty. It was refreshing to get a little grown up time! Thanks guys, let's do it again soon...

Derek's Party

What have I been thinkin'? Planning all of these huge birthday bashes for my kids? Friday night we had a very small family-only celebration for Derek's second birthday. I picked up Baja Fresh (Yummy) after work and Grandma Pat made a cake from a mix so all I really had to do was set everything out on the counter. Easy as pie. Guess what? Derek had a great time. And for once so did mommy! :)

After Gavin outgrew his baby clothes I gave them away. I always told people what were the chances of me having another boy (and in December no less). Enter baby #2- boy and born in January. Basically the same thing! My second baby is funny, noisy, cuddly, affectionate, loud and silly. His beautiful eyes are as deep as the ocean and his smile lights up the room. I can't believe two years have already passed. How quickly he has grown. Happy second birthday baby boy. I love you so very, very much.....

Wicked!

Saturday my sister Devon and I took my mom to see Wicked at the Pantages in Hollywood. It was simply wonderful. If you haven't had a chance to see it- go! It is the story of the wicked witch from "The Wizard of Oz," only she isn't really so wicked. The singing brought tears to my eyes and the act where she first begins to fly took my breath away. What a great day. :)
